"I'm not a migraine sufferer, but my wife is. A lucky week for the both of us is, if she is having a migraine once a week. As a non-sufferer, I share the pain, stress, worries, sleepless nights and the suffering with her. Thus, painting a series of migraine paintings of her is the only relief for me."

About the artist
"Kiu Angiki was born on the Polynesian island of Bellona in the Solomon Islands. Kiu has studied Pacific history and politics at University of South Pacific. Since he moved to Denmark (in 1998) he has been working as an artist. Kiu's paintings clearly reflect the fusion of his two Worlds; the traditional Polynesian society and the modern industrialized society. He primarily works in oils on canvas and on tapa which is barkcloth found throughout the Pacific. Kiu has a website: http://kiuart.offlead.com/"
