Migraine Art Story

In an unpublished letter, Derek Robinson recalled: "During a meeting between Peter Wilson and myself, it was agreed that the British Migraine Association and Boehringer Ingelheim Limited, the company from which I retired in 1993, would jointly sponsor a National Migraine Art Competition ... Three further competitions took place during the 1980s ... As Migraine Art was my 'baby', Boehringer Ingelheim were happy to give me a free reign regarding the work I did on behalf of the Association."

Elsewhere, he explained: "It's as well that I kept the project going because I believed that it was making a valuable contribution to the understanding of migraine ", hence the project occupied a central role in his life since its first conception.

Sadly, Derek Robinson's death, 22nd February 2001, has deprived the Migraine Art project from the incessant care devoted to this "brain child" by its originator.

The documents collected on the present website, in honour of the late Derek Robinson, provide a record of the history of the Migraine Art project, a story which (hopefully so) is yet unfinished.
