"I'm delighted that you found and liked my migraine aura stained glass panel. I'm happy to make it available for your website, which I hadn't known about before and which I found both interesting and helpful... I've always been a bit unsatisfied with the looks of the central 'hole', the place where light replaces vision when this aura occurs to (in?) me. I have some new ideas about how to better capture this phenomena. If they work, I'll send you an updated photo. Whenever this aura happens, it is accompanied by a beautific feeling of well-being. It's the upside of having migraines."

About the artist

"Barbara Adams was trained in the design and crafting of stained glass windows by world-renowned glass artist Narcissus Quagliata. Her contributions to the design and/or execution of some of his pieces can be seen locally at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts in Oakland (entry doors) and the Yerba Buena Parking structure (corner windows) in San Francisco. Her own exclusive work is on display at the Ridhwan Center for Spiritual Development in Berkeley (large southeast window) and the Columbarium in San Francisco (upstairs in a private memorial). Her other pieces grace private homes throughout Northern California. She is especially inspired by the luminosity of nature and of spiritual symbols. She enjoys helping to bring out the personal connections her clients have to the visual world, developing an image that inspires and supports them in their private settings."
