"I have recently started experiencing migraine auras without any pain or headache. It started a few months ago.

I thought I was going blind. I know now that what I was experiencing was an acephalgic migraine. I developed a blind spot in both eyes in the lower right-hand corner. It almost was like I scratched my eyes and couldn't see, or that I was looking through a distorted, cracked pair of glasses. I used photoshop to try to recreate what I saw, you can check it out here.

The distortion was somewhat like an oilslick and somewhat like fireworks. It sparkled and had all different colors. Over the course of about half an hour-45 mins it moved out of my field of vision. By that time my bf had taken me to the walk-in clinic because I was scared out of my mind. When I got there most of the distortion was gone but I was having difficulty thinking/speaking clearly and I was very fatigued and groggy.

They gave me a quick eye exam to make sure I could see ok, but no other tests were done. I wasn't given any medication or anything, just told that it wasn't serious. Since then I've had this happen a couple more times."
